Lutz Deterra is a virtuoso pianist and keyboardist who has earned an excellent reputation in both the international jazz and musical theater scenes. With a career spanning numerous years and projects, he has performed on stage at renowned jazz festivals both at home and abroad, accompanying many prominent names in jazz.
As a sought-after musician and arranger, Lutz Deterra has not only impressed as an instrumentalist but has also repeatedly worked as a musical director. In this role, he demonstrates not only technical skill and exceptional musicality but also a special ability to translate creative visions into successful projects. With his versatility and his sense of the right musical atmosphere, he has not only accompanied jazz greats but also played a key role in shaping various music productions in the fields of jazz and musical theater.

Mit den Originalklängen der Glocken des Hattinger Johannisturms hat der Komponist, Arrangeur und Vollblutmusiker Lutz Deterra wunderbare Stücke kreiert, die weit über ein konventionelles Geläut hinausgehen. In einer perfekten Symbiose hat er den Samples der physischen Turmglocken, die sonst „solo“ live gespielt werden, moderne und zugleich sehr anrührende Arrangements mit Streichern und weiteren Sounds an die Seite gestellt, die die Ohren völlig überraschend, verblüffend und sehr emotional in eine erweiterte und trotzdem logisch und organisch wirkende Dimension der Glockenklänge führt.
